The Hounds were overpowered by the Marlins on Sunday at Southwest, losing 10-1 on a 14-hit day for the Marlins.
DiCola made the start and labored over 5.2 innings and 117 pitches, falling victim to the Southwest porch 3 times. The lefty was left hanging in the suburban air by a paltry offense who managed only 1 run.
That run came in the second when a ROEing “First-Father’s Day Daddy” Burch was brought around to score by a singling Samuel Ortiz (SS). Arron Kruse came in for sweet relief of DiCola, taking over in the 5th before himself handing it over to Burch to record the last required out.
Disappointing at least four fathers in attendance, the Hounds record dropped to 11-5 with the loss. They will take on the Jammers on Tuesday at Winnemac.
