The Hounds lost to the Electrons 7-3 today at Winnemac Park, pushing the season series and the K’s Cup Championship to July 27. K’s Dugout made brats and cheeseburgers for fans and Hounds and Electrons, and it was quality food at a very reasonable price (free).
Tim Riggenbach (#8, P) pitched a complete game for the Hounds in the loss. There were a number of key throwing errors that allowed more Trons to score than necessary. But the key today was yet another game where the Hounds simply failed to score enough runs–7-8 usually wins a CMBA game, but 3 is usually not enough. Kurt Kerrigan (#12, 2B) had a strong game at the plate and we hope that continues through July into the playoff stretch.
The Hounds are now 12-13 and have a must-win game v. the Red Sox at 12:30 pm tomorrow at Maywood. See you there!
