Hounds lose, but still control their destiny

The Hounds lost 10-9 to the division leading Browns today at an awful Proviso West field, but despite the loss the Hounds still control their destiny for the playoffs. If the Hounds can win their final three games (v. the Browns, Aviators, and Yankees), the Hounds are definitely in the playoffs.

Lots of scoring today, lots of hitting, both baseballs and fences for John Lundgren (#34, LF) who had two line drive hits and twice ran into the left field fence trying (and failing) to catch 2 Brown home runs. Kurt Kerrigan (#12, DH/P) also had a double and a triple on the day, and Stephen Correa Jr. (#20, 2B) had two line drive singles. But it was not enough, as theBrowns won with a walk off home run in the bottom of the 7th.

The Hounds then celebrated Anne and Tim’s engagement with a fantastic brunch at Chief O”Neill’s.
